Demons & Wizards Demons & Wizards is some intense power metal put out by Jon Schaffer and Hansi Kursh. If you have not heard it you should check it out. If you like heavy metal, you will like Demons & Wizards. The band is made up of members of Iced Earth and Blind Guardian, which are both great long-lasting metal bands that have been putting out great heavy metal for decades. Hansi Kursh is one of the best, if not the best, voices in power metal today. The band name comes from Uriah Heep's album Demons & Wizards released in May 1972. It's also been said that Hansi's wife referred to him and Jon as Demons & Angels, and Hansi corrected her that it is would be more properly stated "Demons and Wizards." Discography:
